Dr. Anderson is passionate about helping people express their happiness and inspire confidence with a beautiful smile. Having the chance to utilize art, science, and technology to produce fantastic smiles for his patients is extremely fulfilling. Getting to know his patients and their families on a personal level, and develop those relationships throughout treatment, is one of the most rewarding things about his profession.
Joining Dr. Wafelbakker’s practice in October of 2006, Dr. Anderson has enjoyed the opportunity to interact with so many interesting people every day, which enriches both his personal and professional life.
Education and Experience
Dr. Anderson obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Santa Clara University. He then went on to the University of the Pacific Dental School to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, where he graduated at the top of his dental class with the highest honors. He was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Tau Kappa Omega honor societies based on academic achievement. Dr. Anderson was fortunate to be selected to go directly into the orthodontic program at UOP where he earned his Master of Science degree in Dentistry and his certificate in orthodontics. During his orthodontic residency, he traveled to Guatemala on a mission trip to treat children with cleft lip and palate.
After graduation, Dr. Anderson was asked to be an instructor at the University of the Pacific Orthodontic Program. He is involved in continuing education and is a part of multiple dental study clubs with fellow dentists and specialists focused on interdisciplinary care of patients. As a member of the Seattle Study Club, Dr. Anderson has the chance to interact with an international network of doctors focused on continued training in comprehensive patient care and team treatment planning.

Dr. Anderson grew up in the Bay Area and enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to his wife, Wendy, and has two children, Benjamin and Molly. Their family also has a beagle named Rob. Dr. Anderson is a sports fanatic and enjoys following local sports teams and going to games whenever possible. When he was younger, Dr. Anderson played soccer, and still enjoys running. In the winter, he likes to snow ski.
Passionate about orthodontics, his friends, and family, Dr. Anderson believes it is very important to be an excellent orthodontist while also enjoying life with the people closest to him. Returning to the Bay Area was of paramount importance to Dr. Anderson, as it has allowed him to stay close to his family. Currently, his practice sponsors many local sports teams, clubs and activities, and also provides graduating seniors with scholarships every year.
